Aggressive Wayne Hangs In The Game With More Shots

WSU Holds An Edge In Attempts

BIG RAPIDS - Wayne shot just 38.9 percent from the floor in the first half while the Bulldogs connected on 51.9 percent of their shots.

That is not all that makes the game appear even on the scoreboard. Ferris was 4-of-4 at the free throw line while Wayne was 2-of-2. FSU hit three triples while Wayne nailed four shots from downtown.

So, why is it a one-point game (35-34).

Both teams have hit 14 field goals, but Wayne has gotten more shot attempts and managed to get to near the same score in spite of shooting far less proficiently from the field.
