Tough Shooting, Ill-Timed Turnovers Hurt Bulldogs

BIG RAPIDS - While Northwood cooled off, later in the first half with its shooting, the hot start set the tone for the visiting Timberwolves against Ferris.

The Bulldogs hit only 35.7 percent of its shots in the first half while Northwood made good on 43.6 percent of its shots from the field.

Outside of the arc, Ferris connected on just 1-of-6 while Northwood canned 3-of-8 from 3-point land during the game's initial 20 minutes.

On the glass, Northwood held the edge as it outrebounded the Bulldogs 22-17.

Ferris was led by four players with four points apiece (Caitlin Hutchison, Teghan Thelen, Andrea Clancy and Kelsey DeNoyelles).

For the Timberwolves, Pam Wilson led in the first half with 10 points while Jodi Ostergren was next on the list with eight points.
