BIG RAPIDS - Tonight, the Ferris State University ice hockey team is hosting the University of Nebraska-Omaha at 7:05 p.m. in Ewigleben Ice Arena.
The Bulldogs and Mavericks are rivals in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and ready to finish off their series on a positive note in one of the nation's top NCAA Division I conferences for college hockey.
Ferris came into the series off a bye week, but was in action prior to that two weeks ago when it hosted an Ohio State team that was one of the hottest in the nation.
The Bulldogs are entering game two of this series with a record of 11-11-5 overall and 8-8-3-0 in the CCHA standings while Nebraska-Omaha enters this series finale 13-10-5 overall and 8-8-5-3 in the league.
Ferris skated to an impressive 7-1 win last evening in Ewigleben over Nebraska-Omaha.
