Time Becoming A Factor For Bulldogs

Ferris Needs To Pick It Up

BIG RAPIDS - With just under seven minutes to play in the game, the Bulldogs finally answered the bell with their first score of the contest to bring the crowd to its feet.

Ferris took an odd-man rush and finally found a way to drive the puck past Western Michigan netminder Riley Gill, who for two-plus periods had been unbeatable. Mike Embach took a pass from Brendan Connolly and buried it in the net to finally give the home fans in Ewigleben Ice Arena a little something to cheer about at 13:16 of the third.

Now, with the score 2-1, the Bulldogs are well within striking distance of the visiting Broncos, who now have the pressure riding their shoulders.
