NCAA Division I Hockey: Ferris State vs. No. 3 Michigan

BIG RAPIDS - Tonight, the Ferris State University ice hockey team is hosting nationally-ranked University of Michigan at 7:05 p.m. in Ewigleben Ice Arena.The Bulldogs and Wolverines will be playing this evening in Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) before what is expected to be a sellout crowd inside the ice arena.

This is a big series for Ferris as it fights for home-ice advantage in the first round of the CCHA playoffs.

Ferris (12-15-7 overall and 9-12-5-2 in the CCHA) will begin the game by honoring its five senior student-athletes who will be playing in their final regular-season home game in Ewigleben Ice Arena against the Wolverines (24-10-0 overall and 18-8-0-0 in the CCHA). Michigan is ranked third in the nation according to U.S. College Hockey Online/CBS College Sports and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine.

Michigan is third in the CCHA with 36 points while the Bulldogs are eighth with 25 points.
