Catch Nationally-Ranked Bulldog Softball in Action

Bulldog Softball Hosts Pair of Nationally-Ranked Opponents This Weekend To Close Out Regular Season

The Ferris State University softball team, which is presently ranked sixth nationally in the latest (April 22) National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll, will conclude the regular-season portion of its 2009 schedule this weekend (April 25-26) with a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheaders in Big Rapids, Mich. The Bulldogs, who are listed second in the current (April 22) Midwest Region rankings, entertain 25th-ranked Saginaw Valley State this Saturday (April 25) un a twinbill at the FSU Softball Field before finishing up the regular season this Sunday (April 26) versus 19th-ranked Wayne State. FSU's opener against the Cardinals will begin at 1 p.m. (EDT) while the opening pitch in game one against the Warriors is set for 12 p.m. (EDT). Prior to this Sunday's contest, the 2009 softball team will pay tribute to its five senior student-athletes.
