A Great Day at the Ball Diamond for Bulldog Softball
Bulldogs continue to put bark behind the bite
BIG RAPIDS - Ferris State University's nationally-ranked Division II softball team has been on quite a tear this season. The Bulldogs, ranked eighth in the nation, recorded two more wins on Friday afternoon as they defeated the University of Findlay Oilers 11-6 in the first game and then one the nightcap by a score of 9-1 in five innings. The Bulldogs continue to play superb softball which begins with strong pitching and solid defense. After splitting with Northwood, earlier in the week, Ferris brought its bats back to life in a big way with 20 runs in a pair of games against the Oilers. Hats off to head coach Keri Becker and her staff for keeping the team focused. Also, hats off to the most important components of all: the players.
More Bulldog softball action takes place on Saturday afternoon at the FSU Softball Field when Ferris hosts Hillsdale College in a doubleheader with games beginning at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Come out and cheer on the Bulldogs through what has been a strong season.
Ferris now is 24-4 overall and 12-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
