Kendall Students Help Food Pantry

Five fantastic sculptures are combining artistic talent with the art of giving at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, Wood TV 8 reports. Students and local companies built these structures together as part of a national project called "Can-struction." The project’s chair person is Kendall student Emily Davison. "We sponsored the event with Miller Canfield along with the Salvation Army. There were professionals down on their knees right along with the students. It was really cool on Saturday just to see the whole thing come together," she said. In Grand Rapids, The Salvation Army is the recipient of the cans that were used to make these sculptures. More than 11,000 cans were used to create all five.
