Ferris extends lead in first-round tournament game

Let there be life ... in those bats

MIDLAND - The bats truly came to life for the Bulldogs in the sixth inning.

The Ferris softball team grabbed a 5-2 lead on the scoreboard thanks to a 2-RBI single up the middle by hard-working centerfielder Rachel Wade in the bottom half of the sixth inning.

Northwood, unfortunately for the Timberwolves, misplayed a ball that led to another run and a 6-2 lead on the scoreboard. We are headed to the top of the seventh inning now and the Bulldogs have a chance to close out a victor to advance to the second round of the GLIAC Tournament. It's officially last call for Northwood in this first-round game.
