Ferris Staff Member Hits the Road to Show ‘Ferris Cares’

Tissue is taking on a major challenge

BIG RAPIDS - Troy Tissue is planning to bike for a very good cause.

The interim director of Admissions and Records at Ferris State University plans to challenge himself, and the campus community, as part of the National 24-Hour Challenge cycling event June 20 in Barry County's Middleville, reports the Big Rapids Pioneer.

The former Navyman will be challenged as he attempts to cycle 200 miles in 24 hours. The campus community will be challenged to follow his lead and help students. Tissue is using the bike challenge to help raise scholarship funds to benefit students severely affected by the difficult circumstances of the economy.

He has designated all contributions from the 24-Hour Challenge to benefit the "Ferris Cares" Scholarship.
