Former Ferris All-American Runner Jenny (Irwin) Every Still Has It

Jenny (Irwin) Every Proves She Still Has It

Lloyd Wallace, the sports editor for the Ludington Daily News, has written an article that features former Ferris State University All-American distance runner Jenny (Irwin) Every.

Here is a snapshot of the event:

There were 670 finishers in the two events. The half-marathon had 174 male and 105 female finishers and in the 5k, there were 156 male and 235 female finishers, many of them Girls on the Run participants.

Here is the excerpt that highlighted Every:

Jenny Every, 25, is no stranger to Lakestride.

“I ran these when I was younger,” said Every, who was a state 1,600-meter champion at Mason County Central and an All-American runner at Ferris State University. “It’s great to come back to your home town and run a race and win.”

Like Snyder, Every wasn’t tested. She finished 1:44 in front of Manistee’s Annie Fuller.
