Founders’ Day 2009 featured activities ideal for faculty, staff and students of Ferris as well as for members of the Big Rapids community who wanted to be part of the history Ferris has created during its first 125 years.

“This is great and very exciting. I went to school here back in the 1960s, and Ferris means a lot to me and to be here on the 125th … I never thought I would be able to participate at this level with the celebration,” said R. Thomas Cook, chair of the Ferris State University Board of Trustees. “But, it’s wonderful to see the campus, a beautiful day, and the attitude of everybody is great.”
