Don't Miss The Latest Episode Of Ferris State Live Tonight On Fox 32


BIG RAPIDS – Don’t forget to tune in to Fox 32 on Thursday evening at 10:30 p.m. and watch our latest edition of the "Ferris State Live" television show following your local evening news.

"Ferris State Liv
e" is our new Ferris State University public affairs television show broadcasted across northern Michigan through a partnership with Cadillac-based Fox 32. The show is co-hosted by Leah Nixon, assistant director of News Services at Ferris; Scott Roman, a popular local radio personality and veteran television host; and Sandy Gholston, a marketing specialist, blogger and radio announcer at Ferris, who additionally serves as the show’s executive producer. The show is produced by senior students in the Television and Digital Media Production program under the direction of TDMP assistant professor Glen Okonoski.

"Ferris State Live" features compelling interviews with faculty, staff, students and other members of our campus community.

In the fourth show, airing tonight, hosts Leah and Scott interview Ferris State University women’s volleyball player Katie Edwards. Katie was on to discuss the volunteer work being done in communities by Ferris student-athletes as well as fund-raising efforts for causes that she and fellow student-athletes are involved in. Leah and Scott also welcomed into the studio Dr. Robert Friar, an Anatomy and Physiology professor at Ferris and an acclaimed speaker, who was on to discuss his famous “Sex and the College Student” lecture series and human sexuality in general.

The show wrapped up with news and sports as Scott and Sandy discussed some of the news and events taking place in and around the Ferris State University campus. Among other topics, Scott and Sandy discussed the Hispanic Heritage Month Panel Discussion on issues, homecoming, the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Rock Café, Battle at the Ballpark, former football student-athlete Jake Visser being named a top scholar athlete and more.

Ferris State Live is produced, directed, designed and distributed by students in the Television and Digital Media Production Program (TDMP).

Be sure to tune in to "Ferris State Live" broadcast weekly Thursday evening on Fox 32 at 10:30pm and FSU Channel 22.
