The Traverse City Record-Eagle newspaper has this little nugget about some new reading people might want to investigate.
TRAVERSE CITY - A book by a Ferris State University English professor tells of the sinking of the S.S. Daniel J. Morrell.

"Deadly Voyage," by Andrew Kantar, uses research he conducted at various public libraries, news stories, as well as interviews with the sole survivor, Dennis Hale. The ship sank in Lake Huron, off the tip of the thumb, in November 1966.

The book is published by Michigan State University Press and sells for $16.95 at bookstores or at http://www.msupress.msu.edu/.
