Showing of Murderball Highlights Discussion Related To Disability Awareness Month

BIG RAPIDS - There is so much in life that a lot of us simply take for granted.

Creating awareness on campus has been a continuing mission at Ferris State University and yet another part of that mission is Disability Awareness Month (October). This month is a perfect opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about disability awareness and enjoy a movie you're sure to enjoy featuring athletes with physical disabilities. The movie is called Murderball. The movie and the event that includes the movie takes place Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. in room 111 of the College of Business.

For more information, contact Deb Cox by e-mail at coxd@ferris.edu. If you want more information on the phone call (231) 591-2742. The organization behind the event is Liaison Committee for Students with Disabilities.

Prior to the showing of Murderball there will be a panel discussion. In addition to the panel discussion and movies there will be refreshments served.
