This weekend, Ferris State University will host commencement activities in Jim Wink Arena at which time the institution will award degrees to nearly 500 students. Expect lots of smiles, lots of hugs and lots of memories that will last a lifetime for these high-achieving students who have persevered to earn degrees from Ferris State University.
Commencement will be held at 10 a.m. for the colleges of Allied Health Sciences, Education and Human Services, and Engineering Technology. In the next round of ceremonies, beginning at 1:30 p.m., graduates from the colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, and Professional and Technological Studies will be recognized.
The College of Pharmacy and Michigan College of Optometry hold commencement exercises in May.
Dr. Daniel Adsmond, Ferris State University's 2009 Distinguished Teacher Award winner, will be the speaker. Dr. Adsmond, who is a tireless educator who developed his passion for teaching at a very young age, is sure to inspire our graduates to search their heart for their passion and to head out beyond FSU to achieve great things in the world.
