Unity in Diversity: India as an Emerging World Power

BIG RAPIDS - Professor Rochona Majumdar will be the featured speaker in a Globalization Initiative activity titled, "Unity in Diversity: India as an Emerging World Power," on April 15 in Ferris State University's College of Business, Room 111, at 11 a.m. in an event that is free and open to the public.

"Prof. Majumdar teaches in the South Asian Languages & Cultural Studies department at the University of Chicago and will examine India's emergence as a world power," said Michael Wade, assistant director of the Office of Multicultural Student Services at Ferris.

Majumdar's presentation is sponsored through a mini-grant from the Diversity and Inclusion Office. Other sponsors of this event include the Globalization Initiative, Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, OMSS and the International Center.
