OMSS Event, Transition To Success, Features Speech By Gloria Lukusa-Barnett
Ferris State University's Office of Multicultural Student Services sponsored an event called "Transition to Success" on Monday in the Rankin Student Center Dome Room.
This event was geared toward first-year students to put them on a path to success right from the start. As part of the presentation, there was a keynote speech from Gloria Lukusa-Barnett, an associate professor in University College. Additionally, Matt Chaney, director of OMSS, and Michael Wade, assistant director of OMSS, orchestrated an event that brought together a tremendous group of faculty and staff encouraging students to use all possible resources on campus to ensure success.
In this video, I am highlighting the speech by Lukusa-Barnett, who sought to encourage students to not be afraid to ask questions and to utilize all possible resources in place at Ferris.
