Opportunities For Students To Get Involved On Campus

Are you looking to become more involved on your campus to better know what is going on around you? Would you also like to earn volunteer hours? If so, this is an opportunity for you.

The Ferris State University Student Leadership & Activities Advisory Council is actively seeking new members for the 2010-2011 school year.

SLAAC’s main responsibility is to review and approve all new registered student organizations on campus. Besides volunteer experience, past SLAAC participants have enjoyed increased networking ability on campus, being “in the know” about the latest events on campus, and an occasional free refreshment at meetings. Meetings are usually held once per month on weekday evenings.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please send an e-mail to DeAja Packer, SLAAC chairperson, at or give the Office of Student Leadership and Activities a call at 231-591-2606.

There will be an informational meeting held Tuesday, September 7th at 6:30 pm in Room 109 in the Rankin Student Center for all interested students.
