Five Reasons to Remain on Campus this Weekend at Ferris

Thinking about leaving Ferris State University's campus this weekend to do something else?

Consider the following...

1. A women's soccer match against Northern Michigan University today at 4 p.m. where free lunches at Snyders Market are being given away at at halftime.

2. The women's volleyball team, off to a 6-1 start this season, is at home against Lake Superior State University on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. You can win free golf packages in between sets two and three.

3. There will be a special football tailgate party on Saturday at 4 p.m. prior to the game at 7 p.m. at Top Taggart Field. There will be free 2011 Tailgate Team Koozies given to the first 100 students. "Minute It to Win It" contests throughout the game.

4. The action continues on Sunday with a women's soccer match against Michigan Tech University beginning at noon. Fans can win Bulldog T-shirts at halftime.

5. There is women's volleyball action against Northwood University on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Are You Ready To Get In The Game With Club Baseball At Ferris?

If you have some baseball skills and love for the sport then take a shot at a tryout with Club Baseball team at Ferris State University.

The Club Baseball team is holding tryouts Sept. 13 through 15 at Win Kellum Field in Big Rapids beginning each day at 5:30 p.m.

Ferris Hosts Professional Career and Leadership Conference For

Registration for the Professional Career and Leadership Conference at Ferris State University is now OPEN to ALL university employees and students and is filling up fast.

The offices of Career Services and Student Leadership and Activities are sponsoring the Professional Career and Leadership Conference on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The conference objectives are for participants to:

• Discover the impact of leadership on workplace success
• Develop skills necessary to become a successful leader on and off campus
• Develop employability skills and tools needed for career preparation
• Navigate and make connections with a diverse group of participants at a conference style event

The conference is open to all students, faculty, and staff members and participants will receive a certificate of completion for attending all sessions. To attend the etiquette dinner, participants must attend two concurrent sessions.
