"Gay Moralist" Coming to Ferris

Dr. John Corvino will be visiting Ferris' campus on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in Williams Auditorium for his 5-star event, "Haters, Sinners, and the Rest of Us: The Gay Debate Today."

Corvino, a Wayne State University professor, author, philosopher, and award winning speaker, will debate LGBT issues. Corvino will explain the questions and assumptions of those opposed to same-sex couples and marriages while he logically and strategically counterpoints arguments against sexuality. He offers a friendly environment to talk about the debate. It is an opportunity to learn more about the support for homosexuality.

Corvino has been titled the "Gay Moralist" for his activism for gay rights. He holds several awards from his career, including one of the Top 25 LGBT Favorites from Campus Pride and the runner-up of 2012 America's Best Campus Speakers from Campus Activities Magazine.

This event is being sponsored by Entertainment Unlimited. It is free and open to the public.
