Native America Heritage Month feat. Derek Bailey TODAY

Ferris State University welcomes guest speaker Derek Bailey TODAY!

Derek will be speaking about "Diversity, Preservation and Retention of the Odawa and Ojibwa Culture" TODAY from 6 to 7:30 p.m. located in the IRC room 120.

Following the event with be a Q&A session and a Dreamcatchers Fundraiser for the Circle of Tribal Nations organization.

Derek began serving as the fifth GTB (Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians) Tribal Chairman in November 2008. He received a Presidential Appointment by President Obama to the National Advisory Council on Indian Education, and was sworn in on November 3, 2010 by the National Advisory Council on Indian Education. 

The event is FREE and open to the public.
