In recent months with the up-and-downs of Michigan weather, many homes in the Big Rapids area have been destroyed or damaged due to flooding of the Muskegon River. The Southern Baptist Convention Relief Ministry is asking for your help to help clean up these homes.

Volunteers will be carrying trash, building materials, furniture, boxes, etc. from homes to dumpsters. Those willing to help will need to be able to life and carry these materials and have hard-sole shoes and gloves. You will be needed for a variety of shifts between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays and weekends for approximately two weeks beginning today, March 19.

Meals and transportation may be provided. This is a great opportunity to help the community bounce back and to get some community service hours. For more information and to sign up, call Skip Maxson at 517-254-4519.
