#ProFresh Twitter Chat Tonight

Ferris State University students can learn how social media can impact their career by participating in the "#ProFresh Twitter Chat" on Thursday, Sept. 19 with Derek DeVries, a senior associate in the digital practice at Lambert. Edwards & Associates.

The Twitter chat, taking place in the Interdisciplinary Resource Center in Room 107 at 7 p.m., will talk about networking, online reputations, and social media strategy.

There will be pizza and door prizes awarded to those who attend the event, which is a part of SocialFest 2013.

"Who's Got Talent" Competition with Michael Reyes

Ferris State University’s Office of Multicultural Student Services is hosting a “Who’s Got Talent” competition on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.

Internationally known playwright, poet, actor, emcee and artist, Michael Reyes, will be hosting the event. 

Ferris students/groups interested in performing should inquire via email at or stop into the Center for Latin@ Studies in IRC 131 to sign up by Wed., Sept. 18th, space is limited.

Freedom of Speech Panel Discussion Tonight

A “Freedom of Speech” panel discussion will be held on Tuesday, Sept.  17 at Ferris State University.
The discussion, taking place at 7 p.m. in the College of Business, Room 111, is meant to celebrate how the Constitution protects our rights and opportunities as American citizens.
The Freedom of Speech panel discussion is one of several events organized by the University’s Political Engagement Project to spotlight the First Amendment and Your Rights in the Era of “Big Brother. 
Panel Discussions on the Freedom of Religion, as well as the Freedom of Assembly and Press will take place throughout the semester.

Accademic Success Fair Tomorrow

The Academic Success Fair will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The Academic Success Fair offers students the opportunity to meet with, and learn more about, the support services offered by Ferris State University.

Information will be provided about the Writing Center, Structured Learning Assistance, Tuition Incentive Program, Scholar, FLITE Library, and many other areas of interest.

This event will take place in The Academic Support Center, room 1017 of the Arts and Sciences Commons. All students are welcome to attend free of charge.
