Ferris State's Week Ahead

This week at Ferris is the week of all weeks. This week students can participate in events within Pride Week, You Beautiful Black Women Week, Greek Week and Money Smart Week. The amount of events to participate in are plentiful.

On Monday:

  • "End Money Stress! How to Manage Finance, Credit and Debt" at 7 p.m. in FLITE 240. This is the kick-off event to Money Smart Week, and is going to center around what students can do about their finances now. 


  • Ferris Student Government Presidential elections will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until April 13 at 11 p.m. Vote on OrgSync in the Election Portal. 
  • The Presidential Debate will take place at 5 p.m. in BUS 111. 
  • Students are invited to come out to Artworks in Downtown Big Rapids at 8 p.m. for an Open Art Night. 

  • "Get Real!" is a fun, interactive game geared toward Ferris students. It will take place on the second floor of FLITE from 4 to 8 p.m. 


  • "FSUbuntu Anti-Slavery Art and Music Festival" will take place at 7 p.m. at the West Campus Community Center. All proceeds from this event will benefit the No Project and will help raise awareness about human trafficking. 
  • "FAST FORWARD"  will take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in FLITE 240. This event will be a group discussion about the "Get Real" event, and all participants will be entered to win a $250 scholarship.
  • The BIG Event will be taking place at 9 a.m. at the Top Taggart Football Field! Be sure to come out and give back to the community that gives so much to Ferris.
